Aikan showcase plant
Aikan Technology has been fully implemented at a Danish plant owned and operated in cooperation with regional inter-municipal waste management companies:

BioVækst (Denmark)

Location: Gislinge, Denmark (close to Holbæk)
Intake per year: 18,000 tonnes source-separated household waste, 5,500 tonnes garden waste collected in 8-10 municipalities and 4,000 tonnes sewage sludge.
Output per year: More than 1 million cubic meters of methane, more than 6,000 tonnes of compost
Established: 2003
Ownership: Solum A/S (50 percent), Vestforbrænding (33 percent), KARA/Noveren (17 percent)
